Lips of the Day: Philosophy Supernatural Lip Gloss

Oh Weather.com, you’ve let me down. You promised me mid-80s today and I was so looking forward to a break from a consecutive week of hotness. But Mother Nature kept me on my toes and threw in another 90+ day just to toy with me… hmmph!
But that’s okay because I’ve been toting Philosophy’s The Supernatural Lip Gloss ($16.50 US) around with me in my bag.
These lip glosses are a godsend this week with SPF 15 in them to condition and soften my lips as well as protect them from the scorching dry heat.
Supernatural Lip Gloss in Reflect a Little is a barely-there, shimmery pink with a shiny finish, although not the high-shine I was expecting – the tube does say “superglossy” after all. Not that I mind; it had enough sheen to make me happy.
The minty smell right when you pull the wand out of the tube is lovely as well, although its taste on my lips were blech. But Kasey from Bay Area Style File tweeted for me to “Suffer for beauty!”

And that is indeed what I’m doing because I like the pretty sheer finish it gives when I’m too lazy to put on an actual color.
Have you tried Philosophy’s Supernatural Lip Gloss? What are your favorite sheer colors to wear on a lazy day? Or favorite SPF lippies to protect from the sun?

My fave SPF lipbalms are MAC Tendertones, which I can only find at CCOs, and Softlips!

Pretty color. i’ve been using my Milani Lip Mixers most of the summer. My MAC ones are starting to feel left out.

Hi Crystal,
I’m glad you can still find your faves even when they are discontinued!
Although my bank account would probably be happier, I don’t have the patience to look for items I like – I just stock up before it goes away

Hi Marisol!
I’d definitely feel left out if I were one of your non-Milani lippies
Are you going to wear the sheer, dark lip trend this season?

That is such a cute colour! It looks like the perfect shade of baby pink that gives the lips the my lips but better look.

Hi Amy,
This definitely does have a “my lips but better” effect
Hope you’re having a great Labor Day!
