Tarte says, “Green is the new Black!”

Tarte Green Products

Runway looks are crazy and fun, but ,most are way too exaggerated for everyday life. How would I transform the above look into something much more simple and everyday?  For me, one eyeshadow and one eyeliner is all that I need to convey a “green with envy” look.

But not just any shade of green will do, your eyelids must be smoldering with rich, earthy, and deep greens!

Tarte Eyeshadow in Peyton Place ($14 US) and Tarte Emphaseyes High Definition Eye Pencil in Green ($18 US) are the perfect products to help you stay trend-worthy while keeping it toned down for day to day.

Peyton Place looks beautiful in the pan as a subtle khaki with golden shimmer and the Green Eye Pencil is thin, which is great for gliding onto the waterline.

Tarte Emphaseyes High Definition Eye Pencil in Green ($18 US) is made for the inner rims, which is great since I wear contacts. The color is a deep, forest green that looks so much more stunning than black. I like the texture a lot, it’s harder than Urban Decay’s but eases onto my waterline well, and the automatic pencil is so convenient.

Tarte Eyeshadow in Peyton Place ($14 US) does not have the type of pigmentation where you say “Wow,” but I love it for that reason. It’s a complicated color that looks best layered; you’ll bring out the gold and green in it more.

Texture is superb and the packaging is so nice with a mini mirror and cute purple compact. It’s a really unique color, and I’ll tell you why below.

Tarte Green EOTD

My EOTD is so simple and fast, but looks really nice and not too heavy. I just applied a primer and patted Peyton Place on my lid. Then I lined my eyes with the Tarte Emphaseyes High Definition Eye Pencil and applied mascara.

What really makes this EOTD lovely is the variation in the green eyeshadow. If you look right above where my eyeshadow ends on the lid, you’ll see some gold. All I did was blend out Peyton Place where my eyeshadow ended with a fluffy brush, and the color subdued into a gold shimmer.
