Get Dreamy Eyes with Flirt!

Now that the fall season is here (can you believe we’re in October already?), I’ve started to rotate in darker eye shadow shades into my makeup bag.
I was so in love with luminous golds and brownish taupes over the summer that I wanted to keep the brown trend going for a little bit long.
Flirt! Dreamy Eyes Eyeshadow ($12 US each) in Bronze Splash (above) and Cocoa Luster do just the trick to keep my look warm, yet rich enough to stay on trend with the deeper, more sultry look for fall.
Bronze Splash is an orange gold that makes a great accent color. The texture is soft and the finish is so velvety.

In the pan, Cocoa Luster looks like it would be a pearly dark brown. However, it’s more of a matte brown base with gold glitter that appears to sit on top of the shadow. It’s almost like a layered effect, making it a unique finish.

I’ve never tried Flirt! eye shadows before so I was pleasantly surprised to find such great quality products at Kohl’s department stores.
The shadows are pigmented and definitely blendable and buildable to create intensity. I like that they’re moderately priced and more affordable than MAC. You won’t find the same range of colors but there are definitely worth checking out.

For my look yesterday, I initially swept a light layer of Bronze Splash all over my lids first and then patted Cocoa Luster over it until I got the level of dark and smokey that I wanted.
I went back with a little more Bronze Splash on my eyeshadow brush and blended out the Cocoa Luster line. This helped to reduce the harsh line while adding color to my crease.
I finished by highlighting under my brow bone and lining my lids with a dark brown liner.

And since we’re still experiencing warm weather here in Orange County, I went with a vibrant fucshia pink lip.
I hope you have a great Friday! I’ve got a chill weekend coming – having lunch and possibly shopping tomorrow with Miss Marisol who’s down from San Francisco right now and then off to Las Vegas on Sunday!
Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Hopefully you’ve still got a couple more weeks of lovely weather before it starts to get really cold
