MAC Dazzleglass Creme: Subtle on Shimmer but with Lots of Shine

When I saw that MAC released a sister product to their popular Dazzleglass last month, I was excited to see if Dazzleglass Creme ($18 US) would be as delightful as the original.
My thoughts are certainly mixed; if I didn’t love Dazzleglass so much, I’d probably like the Creme version more than I do.
Available in nine new shades, Dazzleglass Creme incorporates the glitz you came to love in the original atop a creme-formula lipglass to create a new mixture of color and sparkle in one.
Sublime Shine Light coral brown with gold pearl
Soft Dazzle Mid-tone peach pink with gold pearl
Perfectly Unordinary Bright yellow pink with gold pearl
My Favourite Pink Light blue pink with pearl
Do It Up Bright blue pink with pearl
Luscious Spark Light orange with gold pearl
Totally Fab Bright yellow red with pearl
Creme Allure Bright yellow plum with pearl
Amorous Deep brown red with pearl
Here are swatches of three of the nine glosses on my lips – see if you like the the toned down version of your favorite glimmer-packed Dazzleglass.

Perfectly Unordinary is a paler pink on me. I like that I can swipe this shade over most pink lipsticks I have to create shine and shimmer to a color I already own.
Although deduct a couple of points for the uneven distribution on my lips. Here you can see that more the pigment falls into the cracks of my lips making it better suited to combine with another lip color.

Sublime Shine is a sheer golden gloss that also lends itself well to pairing with others. While the texture is a little gritty for me due to the amount of glitter in the gloss, I usually always have a shade like this in my purse for touchups throughout the day to keep my makeup looking fresh.

Luscious Spark is a color that I didn’t think I’d like when I saw the tube – I’m rarely drawn to orange-y shades, but when I applied it, it’s actually not as obnoxious but still has a pretty tinge. This FOTD definitely shows off the bolder side of Luscious Spark than the swatch above.

Overall, more nice colors from MAC but I think I love the original Dazzleglass shades and formulas. But one thing is true with all lipstick colors, once you change them, you get a whole new look entirely.
Below I’m wearing Perfectly Unordinary which isn’t as pale on me as it looks in the lip swatch.

Have you tried MAC Dazzleglass Creme? What say you? Do you love its new cousin, or do you live by the mantra, “Don’t fix it unless it’s broke?”
