Macy’s Master Class Event and a Fun Benefit FOTD

I love makeup events. What kind of beauty addict doesn’t love playing with makeup and getting makeovers? So when I heard about the Macy’s Master Class Event, I couldn’t wait to go.
Bobbi Brown, Lancôme, Benefit, CHANEL, MAC, Estée Lauder, Origins, and Shiseido participated in this event to show off their new products and talk about trends and techniques. I received tons of samples too!
Here’s a quick run down of the presentations.

- Bobbi Brown introduced their new Holiday 2009 Collection. I won a Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss Compact in True Beige ($20 US)!
- Lancôme gave us the run down on Genifique Eye ($59 US). It’s the hottest new under-eye-bag-killer with all the same youth activating ingredients in the original face serum.
- Be a BADGal with Benefit’s new Velvet Eye Shadow in Leggy and Where there’s Smoke ($18 US) and BADGal Liner Waterproof ($20 US).
- CHANEL Hydramax + Active Serum ($80 US) boosts to be the most hydrating serum on the market with a great floral scent.

- Try MAC Style Black Collection for the perfect smoky eye products like: Grease Paint Sticks ($17.50 US) and Mineralize Eye shadow ($19.50 US).
- Estée Lauder showed us the perfect 5-minute face for busy women with products from the Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup Line.
- Nature’s version of micro-dermabrasion is less harsh; try Origins Modern Friction ($37.50 US) for smooth, exfoliated skin.
- Visit your local Shiseido counter to take a microscopic picture of your skin to find out what how healthy your skin really is.

I chose to get my makeup done at Benefit, one of my favorite brands. The artist used BADGal Liner Waterproof ($20 US), Get Bent Lash Mascara ($19 US) and Velvet Eye Shadow in Leggy ($18 US) on my eyes for a lovely cat eye.
She then brushed Posietint ($28 US) and Coralista ($28 US) on my cheeks. My lips were a combo of BeneTint ($28 US) and Lipgloss in Zone Out ($18 US).

I really loved my cheeks, they were perky, but subtle. I don’t like having ultra pigmented cheeks, so the makeup artist recommended Benefit Coralista ($28 US) to me; it’s buildable with a flattering golden hint.
Although I didn’t qualify for the GWP of $35 US, the amazing Benefit gal threw in the mini BadGal Lash Mascara ($9 US) anyway!
Have you ever been to a Macy’s Master Class Event? In my opinion, it’s definitely the one of the best makeup events out there; what kind of events have you gone to?
