Bold Colors and Glitter Liners to Create Festive Eyes!

My favorite time of the year is definitely the holiday season. It’s the best time to try “party” eye looks without looking like a disco ball. When else can you experiment with glitter, bold colors, and falsies in every shape besides Halloween?
Still, I don’t like to stray too far from my roots, so I’m super excited about the discovery of the Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liners ($5.99 US) and the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Distortion ($18 US). These two products are fabulous additions to my makeup bag for quick changes to glam up my day look.

These Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liners ($5.99 US) come in five colors but I test drove three. Everlast, an inky black; Endless, a royal purple with gold shimmer; and Infinite, a bright azul color.
I recommend these for their budge-proof, pigmented color. They look shiny when dry and even the brush feels smooth. The price is irresistible so you can keep as many colors as you like in your makeup bag.
However, make sure to use an oil-based makeup remover to get these liners off! I found that when removing, the eyeliner became crumbly, which was odd. Another con, these liners can skip over the lashes, so try applying with your elbows on a counter.
Try normal black liner for day and add a classy cat eye during the evening. You can always layer liquid eyeliner over pencil, since liquid is more pigmented. With that said, I loved how easily Endless and Infinite applied over my pencil eyeliners.
TIP! I noticed that since the formula is so thick, you can actually dip a spare mascara wand into the liner opening and use the liquid liners as colored mascara too!

I was always intrigued by Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliners ($18 US) whenever I went to swatch it at Sephora. The gorgeous, heavy chunks of glitter suspended in a clear base called out to my inner disco diva, but I never thought about purchasing until recently.
I got a stroke of genius when I decided to layer the glitter over basic black liner, which in this case, was Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide on Eyeliner in Zero ($17 US).

On the left is a swatch of Zero, the middle is Distortion Glitter Eyeliner, and the right is Distortion layered over Zero.
You can see that Distortion is nothing really special or pigmented on its own, but layered over Zero, it breathes new life into basic black. The green glitter looks stunning over the black, and I love how it sparkles so.
Which tip is your favorite? Are there any products you especially like to add to your makeup bag during the holidays?

Hi knownever!
I tried Infinite on my upper lashline and I have to say that it’s really pigmented! I have a monolid though, so I think that when I lowered my eyelid, it was a nice surprise to see such a vibrant blue!
