Lush The Godmother Soap Keeps Hands Smelling Sweet

The Godmother Soap

Ok, I’ll admit it, I’m a germ freak. I always have tons of tiny anti-bacterial hand sanitizers stuffed everywhere. Hand washing is a chore, but one I’ll gladly uptake to save my health.

Being the beauty addict I am, I still want it to be an enjoyable chore, after all isn’t soap a body/beauty product?

When I stopped by the Lush store last month or so, I picked up a slab of Lush The Godmother Soap ($5.95 US) and marveled at the pretty purple glitter in the maroon and burgundy chunk. I’m a sucker for anything glittery or shimmery, just look at all the highlighters I collect!

Unfortunately the glitter doesn’t stay on after I wash my hands, however the scent does linger.

And what a scent it is! My sensitive nose tells me that it’s a combo of Coca Cola and Tutti Frutti. It’s sweet and yummy and lasts on my hands for more than an hour at least. I wish there was a perfume like it (a liquid one, not a solid one like Lush Snow Fairy Solid Perfume).

My hands don’t feel any drier or moisturized than when I use normal liquid soap, but I just love the idea of my own little plastic soap dish holding a special treat for my hands every time I feel the need to re-wash them! It’s an affordable piece of everyday luxury.

Just like every other Lush Soap, you can purchase these by the pound or ounce in store. For example, you can ask for a half a pound of The Godmother and they will weigh it out and cut it up for you. I like to buy big chunks and cut it up for my soap dishes.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Coincidentally enough, it’s the Christmas season, which is when Lush releases their Snow Fairy Shower Gel ($8.95 US – $19.95 US). Available only during the holiday season, it has the exact same scent as Lush The Godmother, just in liquid form!

If you love The Godmother, you’ll have to pick up a bottle of Snow Fairy Shower Gel to stash away for the rest of the year.

Do you use Lush soaps? Which ones are your favorite? Any Snow Fairy/Godmother fans here?
