First Look at Les Impressions De CHANEL

This spring, CHANEL brings us delicate shades of pinks and plums that illuminate the new season.
Peter Philips, Global Director of CHANEL makeup, honors Coco Chanel’s legacy with Les Impressions de CHANEL, a collection of clean, classic neutrals that are infinitely wearable and effortlessly chic. The new 2010 collection looks to be universally flattering and I just adore purples and am happy to see that the color trend is spilling over from fall and winter.

Les 4 Ombres de CHANEL in Kaska Beige ($56 US) is probably one of my favorite quads from CHANEL in a long time.
It features two similar shades of plum but in two different finishes. The top right is a matte purple with pink tones and the bottom left purple is a little more gray and has a pearl finish.

The bottom right gold also swatches as a beautiful gold and looks like a great accent. I can’t wait to try out this Kaska Beige quad in a beauty look this week!

The exclusive creation for CHANEL’s spring collection is Empreinte de CHANEL Radiant Glow Highlighting Powder ($65 US).
The limited edition highlighter features a textured pebble background imprinted with CHANEL’s signature double C logo. This product definitely has that wow factor when you open up the compact. But don’t let that fool you – once you get beyond the top layer of color and shimmer, the pebble background comes just one color, albeit a different shade from the double C.

The bronze from the background (left) is a more warm and coppery when compared to the frosty gold (right) of the double C.

CHANEL’s Rouge Allure lipsticks ($30 US each) offer rich colors and fuller coverage than the brands other formulas – Rouge Hydrabase and Aqualumiere.

CHANEL’s Les Impressions spring collection offers four Rouge Allure lip shades: Délicieuse (left), a warm pink coral; Insouciante (not shown), a mauve; Incognito (right), a rosewood; and Impertinente (not shown), a brown.
The Les Impressions de CHANEL Collection also includes
Ombre D’eau Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow ($32 US) in Torrent, a khaki
Ombre Essentielle Single Eyeshadow ($28.50 US) in Sillage, a soft nude; and Trace, a bronze shimmer
Le Crayon Yeux Precision Eye Definer ($28 US) in Khaki Doré, a khaki
Joues Contraste Powder Blush ($42 US) in Imprévu, a copper
Lévres Scintillantes Glossimer ($27 US) in Futile, pink; and Maline, gold
Le Vernis Nail Colour ($23 US) in Inattnendu, nude; Tendresse, soft pink; and Particuliére, gray
Anything from the new Spring 2010 Les Impressions de CHANEL collection catch your eye? If money were no object, what would you get? I saw swatches of the gray polish on Temptalia and am really curious to see it in person!

Hi Karrie,
Kaska Beige is so very pretty. The texture of the shadows themselves are really nice and well pigmented. I’m a fan!
