Splurge or Skip: Smashbox WISH Holiday 2009 Collection

What do you wish for this holiday? A smooth eyeliner set or fabulous pink brush set? A box of lipglosses or a pigmented eye palette? An even better question, what do you think the Children’s Miracle Network needs? Volunteers, donations, and great care.
No matter what you wish for this holiday, Smashbox Cosmetics has got you covered. For every purchase from their Smashbox WISH Holiday 2009 Collection, $1will be donated (capped at $25,000) to the Children’s Miracle Network which commits to research and care of sick and injured children.
You can never have enough lip gloss, there are just too many shades, textures, and finishes to ever have too much!

Smashbox WISH for the Perfect Pout Set ($29 US) comes with two full sized glosses in Pout, a baby doll pink, and Luster, a sheer golden pink which comes out to be more gold. There are minis of Tease, a Juicy Raspberry, Candy, a Cotton Candy Pink, Aura, a shimmering pink nude, and Radiant, a shimmering pink plum.

The texture of these are medium but tacky enough to be pretty pigmented and last on the lips. The smell is very synthetic-y and weird, but there is no taste. I love how the colors are different from each other, making it a well-rounded gloss collection.
My favorite shade is Radiant, a color that I don’t think you see too often. It’s a pink plum that translates into gorgeous pink shimmer on top of a slightly plum stained lip! Splurge on this set for sure, even if the scent is a little wacky, the colors are beautiful.

Just like lip gloss, you can never own too many eyeliners. With Smashbox WISH for the Perfect Pencil Set ($32 US), there are different shades to every color which makes each liner unique! Included in this set are Celebrate, a silver; Wish, a peacock; Dream, a black; Hope, a purple; and Love, a bronze. These creamy long-wear pencils look exquisite in the color department. Splurge on this set for sure!

If you’re new to makeup and had to pick just one item to splurge on, try the Smashbox WISH Eye Wish Palette ($44 US). It comes with 12 eyeshadows, 4 cream liners, a mini primer, and a look book. Good value combined with lots of color choices make for a creative mind!
