Splurge or Skip: Stila Holiday 2009 Collection
Stila Cosmetics is one of my favorite brands ever. Not for the packaging or the colors or even the quality (which are all good, by the way!). I love this brand because I think it makes great products at a great value hands down.
Even if you go to a drugstore, some of Stila’s sets will give you a bigger bang for your buck. Individually, Stila is expensive, but their value sets are super affordable. It boils down to this, drugstore mascara for $8 or the Stila set with 4 other items for $40? You know the answer.

Stila Smudge Pot Collection ($32 US) is without a doubt, a splurge. But, this is the set that converted me from a normal pencil liner user (still love you Urban Decay!) into a gel liner user. The difference is astonishing. Vibrancy, wear time, and versatility make this a champion. Read my full review here.

Stila 24kt Luxe Lip Gloss Collection ($30 US): Shimmering and shiny with beautiful pigmentation, these glosses were the talk of the town when they came out during the summer. If you missed out, snatch up this set quick! Included are Radiant Sunset, a mid-tone red; Precious Coral, a light peachy coral; Golden Charm, a warm sheer gold; and Vintage Merlot, a deep berry.

Possibly the most wanted stocking stuffer since chocolate, the Stila Kitten Collection ($18 US) is an adorable and inexpensive duo that comes with Stila Kitten Eyeshadow and Stila Kitten Lipglaze for a coordinating look. Pink and champagne in color, these will add appropriate shimmer and sparkle to your holiday looks.

I do believe technology is slowly taking over the world; just look at Stila The Makeup Player ($69.90 US)! You’ll be able to listen to music and watch makeup lessons when you plug in your MP3 into this amazing kit. Just imagine how much you’ll improve on your beauty skills when you get to watch the youtube gurus while applying your makeup!
It looks super expensive and extravagant for those of us who don’t do makeup as a profession, but this set is actually quite affordable when you break it down. Included are a pro artist makeup case, one step makeup foundation, eye shadow trio, convertible color, #7 eyeshadow brush, lip glaze, and beautytube dvd and instruction card.
Overall, Stila’s Holiday 2009 Collection has a lot of value-packed pieces. You get so much for so little; it’s a win-win situation! Splurge on the smudge pot set for sure and the gloss and kitten set if you like what you’re seeing. The makeup player is pricey, so put it on your wish list for Santa!

I bought the smudge pots and I love them so much! Though if I had some extra cash I would buy the makeup player

Hi Ashley!
I especially love how easy the smudge pots are to use. I agree that the makeup player is pricey, but I think it would look amazing on my dresser.
