Year-End Beauty Deals and Sales
Hitting the mall to window shop is always fun for me around the holidays. Even if I can’t afford to spend, I remind myself that it’s great exercise walking around and a great way to indulge in some fake retail therapy by trying on cute clothes and adorable shoes.
Still, it would be lovely if I could buy that amazingly scented body soufflé I was sniffing the other day. With the recent hoard of After-Christmas Sales, I just might be able to indulge a little.
Lush: From now through January 5th, purchase any Lush holiday product or soap, get two products of the same or less value free! If you find yourself lemming the amazing values of the pre-wrapped gifts, you can buy one and get one of the same or less value free! No code for this awesome promo.
My Pick: Lush Snow Fairy Gift ($22.95 US) which includes Snow Fairy Shower gel, pink and lusciously scented, Angels Delight Soap, pink with a scent of jelly beans, and Shimmy Shimmy Glitter Bar, a soft vanilla block that moisturizes while covering you in glitter.
Nordstrom: Markdowns on major holiday collections and limited edition products from great brands like Laura Mercier, Smashbox, MAC, and Bobbi Brown are all so tempting for a budget. If you haven’t indulged in holiday goodies yet, now’s your chance!
My Pick: The Smashbox Get Glowing Kit ($18.90 US) comes with a lipgloss in Gilded, Flash Powder, and Blush in Aperature. Such a beautiful value for this kit; the price was still easy to swallow when it wasn’t even on sale! One kit for a glowy look.
Sephora: Their ‘Good Buy 2009’ picks are all extremely under priced at less than $10. You’ll find names like NARS, Korres, and Stila in this round-up. It’s a great way to purchase some high-end beauty for the drugstore price.
My Pick: Stila A Couple of Crushes ($10 US) is all you need for blushing cheeks and lips. I love multi-tasking products, but when you get two colors, Mango Crush, shimmery coral and Pomegranate Crush, deep berry, it’s twice the fun!
L’Occitane: Natural ingredients and sweet smelling bath and body products can be quite expensive from this brand. With a huge sale though, there are some amazing staples like hand creams and soaps that you can easily stock up on.
My Pick: L’Occitane Cherry Blossome Hugs and Kisses ($18 US), for cherry lovers everywhere. Hand cream for the dry winter season and a moisturizing cherry gloss will keep your pucker sweet.

I have the cherry blossom set. The gloss is really nice. It has no flavor, but the scent of cherries wafts subtly off your lips for the first few minutes after you apply it!

Hi Laura!
How wonderful that there’s a scent! I was looking at the product online, and was hoping there was one. I’m definitely going to have to check it out next time in store! Do you like the color? It looks like a gorgeous juicy raspberry pink!
