Yay or Nay? NARS Duo Eyeshadows for Spring

Bits of bold colors mixed in with subtle accents, I was excited to try NARS Duo Eyeshadows from the Spring Collection, inspired by the leading lady‘s makeup in the 1960s film, La Chamade.

NARS Spring 2010 features two eyeshadow duos, Camargue and Kuala Lumpur ($32 US). Camargue is a duo of cream shadows named for the dancing, sun-cast hues of the French river delta, golden moss and sienna work to create multi-colored reflections.

The spring green side in the pan swatches with more gold tones than green, to my surprise, making it a much more of an everyday color to wear.

The amber brown side has flecks of golden green in it making it a unique shade I couldn’t wait to wear it to work. Once I started working with my Camargue duo, I started having mixed feelings.

MAC, Lush, & More: Uncovering Treasures From My Own Beauty Collection!

Organization is one of the qualities I pride myself on. The evidence: my neat desk, perfectly hung up clothes, and spotless bathroom. But, the one thing I can’t seem to keep tidy is my makeup corner.

This is probably the top reason why I lose track of what I have. The products I loved last month usually get thrown into a drawer, slowly making their way to the back if I don’t use them every day.

Realizing this, I’ve been trying to fix my ways by doing weekly clean outs. And in the process, I’ve re-discovered many great products I forgot I had!

Bling, Bang, Boom! Stila Dust to Diamond

If glitz, glam and sparkle are your thing, you will not want to miss Stila Dust to Diamond collection for spring.

From your eyes to your lips, Stila’s got you all covered in shimmer and pearl for the highest wattage beauty look you can imagine. The initial swatches have got me really excited, I can’t wait to try out a look with these this weekend!

Stila Jewel Shadow Palette ($32 US) features four glittery eye shadows that looked really chunky in the pan. My first reaction was that these would cause major shadow fallout on my face.

Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals for Spring

I’m going gaga over the coral shades from Bobbi Brown’s new collection for spring, Cabana Corals.

I’m a self-proclaimed lover of pink tones for lips and cheeks. But it seems that every time I add a bit of coral into the mix, it puts me in a different mood.. the mood to go on a beachy holiday!

Her Shimmer Bricks are to die for and this season she’s releasing not one, but two new compacts – Pink Quartz and Nectar ($38 US). Since I already own Platinum Pink from a previous collection I can’t wait to check out Nectar (right) to give my complexion a peachy glow.
