Nails of the Week: China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint
For New Year’s Eve, I went with my usual dark, vampy nails to ring in the new decade. But once all the confetti settled and the champagne glasses were put away, I was ready for something totally different.
On Saturday, I was going through some new spring nail colors and was immediately drawn to China Glaze’s Re-Fresh Mint from their new Up and Away collection.
Re-Fresh Mint certainly reminds me of delicious mint and chip ice cream that’s so darn yummy and refreshing in the summer time. And with 75 degree weather over the weekend, this nail color was perfect for a barbecue at my cousin’s.
The creme formula provides a nice, opaque color in two coats but if your painting skills aren’t perfect, it’ll run a little streaky. With the help of a good top coat, I found that those minor streaks disappeared into a lovely, milky finish.
The complete Up and Away collection features 12 shades of colorful pastels and their bold counterparts in pink, teal, purple, yellow and peach hues.
Keep an eye out for this new China Glaze collection. We hear it’ll be arriving in-stores very soon!

What a pretty color. Do you have Essie’s Mint Apple Candy? The two look sort of similar to me.

What a pretty color! Are China Glaze polishes toulene, formaldehyde, and DBP free?

Hi Marisol,
I don’t have Essie Mint Apple Candy but they do look similar. I saw side by side swatches on All Lacquered Up and Essie’s looks a tinge more blue. I really like Re-Fresh Mint though!
What’s on your nails right now?

Yep, China Glaze’s polishes are free of DBP / toluene and added formaldehyde

Right now I am wearing RBL’s Stormy which I got as part of their 50% off sale. Impressed with their products.

Oooh, what a pretty gray! I like Rescue Beauty Lounge too, but find that they chip a little faster than other formulas at times.
