Spring Into Color! MAC Give Me Liberty of London Product Swatches & FOTD

Spring is finally here and I feel inspired to wear colors today!

MAC Give Me Liberty of London is the latest collaboration with Liberty of London, a British brand known for its prints and mini-florals.

The nature prints as seen on this makeup bag ($30 US) usually translates to something a little too “old lady” for me, but the colors inside the limited edition packaging is very bohemian chic and translates into creating very youthful looks.

Today I opted for a dark teal eye and reached for MAC Liberty of London eye shadows ($14.50 US) in Birds & Berries and Give Me Liberty of London.

Birds & Berries is a very beautiful frosted dark green blue with a texture that applies and blends evenly.  The pigment is great and true to color when you build it up.

One that I often hate about blues is the fall-out from shadows that makes you look like your eye is bruised.  But Birds & Berries has next to none – score! This hot shade is sold-out online but run (!!) on over to your local MAC counter and pick this beauty up if you can.

I highlighted my eyes with Give Me Liberty of London, a matte creme pink.

To create a little bit more dimension for my eye look today, I picked up a little bit of a frosted pink with gold pearl (try MAC Nanogold) with an angled fluff brush and blended out Birds & Berries.

I finished by lining my eyes with Prescriptives Eyeliner in Blue Grotto, a cool teal.

For the rest of my makeup, I swept MAC Liberty of London Beauty Powder ($25 US in Shell Pearl, a pale peach with gold pearl.

This one is a new favorite of mine because it’s so delicate like my longtime fave MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Blonde but has a more coral tone to it than pink – which is sooo hot for spring/summer this year!

I’ll surely preserve my Blonde pan by putting Shell Pearl into heavy rotation this season. :)

To complete my look, I usually reach for a lipgloss.  Today, MAC Liberty of London Tinted Lipglass ($14 US) in Perennial High Style, a a creamy pink coral.

MAC Give Me Liberty of London collection has inspired me to wear a little pop of blue to greet the new spring season.  Are you wearing fresh new colors beyond the neutral earth tones this week too?

I hope wherever you are, the snow is being replaced by gorgeous 70-degree weather for the next 3 months! :D
