I know it may sound crazy but.. I dislike sunscreen. However since it’s the only thing that’s going to protect me from the sun, I apply it. Skin cancer and age spots? No, thank you. Thankfully, sunscreen has come a long way from those goopy, white formulas.

Top attributes I look for in a sun protection product is convenience. I look for products that work double duty so that it’s less of an annoyance and more of a habit to apply them regularly. Sunscreens that are eco-friendly are always a welcome bonus too.

Kiss My Face Hot Spots SPF 30 ($8.95 US): The sun’s rays break down sunscreen with exposure, so reapplying should be instinctive. This summer, go for sun block sticks that can be applied onto the face and ears without using hands, almost like a glue stick!

Treat Yourself to Orly’s Sweet Color Collection

Bright colors make me happy. I’d wear bright and bold colors head to toe all year long if I could. Unfortunately, my full-time job is in sales so I can’t be too whimsical with my wardrobe.

Experts say that in the effort to be more green, every little bit counts. Simply turning off the water when brushing teeth or unplugging unused electronics can add up for the good on your monthly bill and the environment.

To be an eco warrior in the beauty aisle, purchase products that have two or three natural key ingredients. If you use three bath products everyday with three natural key ingredients each, that’s nine less chemicals on your body. Isn’t math neat?
