A Taste of Luxury Without the Luxe Price Tag: NYX Champagne & Caviar Eyeshadow Palette

If you could travel to anywhere in the world for your beauty fix, where would you go? For me, the answer has always been London!

British makeup brands like Sleek, Gosh, and Barry M. look amazing and I’d jump at the chance to play with their lines.

Fortunately, we’re not completely deprived here in the States. NYX is one popular brand that’s available to both countries. Lovely quality at low prices, only some champagne and caviar would be better! NYX’s response to this thought?

Drum rolls for the NYX 10 Color Eyeshadow Palette in Champagne & Caviar ($9.75 US)! These soft neutrals are as elegant as their name implies. Housed in a sturdy, sleek case with a mirror and sponge applicator, it’s perfect for carrying on the go.

Although the colors aren’t named individually, they are cohesive enough to form a variety of looks. Pigmentation wise, these shadows are fantastic, while the texture is powdery yet smooth.

The Top Row: shimmery golden peach/cool taupe/matte soft tan/beige shimmer/warm medium brown

The Bottom Row: matte white/golden brown/matte espresso brown/baby pink shimmer/matte black

My favorite shades of the bunch are shimmery golden peach and warm medium brown.  However, I’ve been utilizing matte espresso brown as an awesome powder eyeliner in addition.

Which colors do you think you’d get the most use out of? Are you a fan of reliable neutrals? Keep your eyes peeled for another step-by-step tutorial with this palette soon!
