Aveeno Continuous Protection Sunblock Lotion SPF 85 ($11 US)

I had to re-read the label a few times before I believed this formula was waterproof. Unlike other waterproof lotions that feel like you’re smearing on an invisible coat of plastic, Aveeno Continuous Protection Sunblock Lotion feels more like a daily moisturizer – only thicker.

The lotion sank quickly into the skin and provided instant relief to my sun-parched skin. On top of being uber comfortable and waterproof, its high SPF 85 meant I didn’t have to reapply constantly. I didn’t have to worry about following asleep on my stomach and waking up with burnt shoulders and butt cheeks. Yeah!

In Love with Yves Rocher Vanille Noire

Of all the scents, I find vanilla to be the most universally appealing. There are just so many aspects to it, from sweet to seductive, that it’s hard to go wrong. But since fragrance is so intensely personal, it’d be impossible for everyone to agree.

Still I think that Yves Rocher’s Vanille Noire Eau de Parfum ($58 US) is doing a fantastic job trying. Part of their Secrets D’Essences Collection, Vanille Noire is one of five scents designed to intensify the natural raw extract of a singe iconic note.
