Crystal’s Picks: Two Holiday Skin Savers

Between the delicious holiday cuisine and colder weather, my skin needs more help than I’d like to admit. I can’t go a full day without a dab of concealer and touching up the T-zone, which in its pore-clogging self is a cause of even more skin woes.

Nothing helps more than good rest, water, and veggies, but until then great skincare products have never seemed so appealing. Two products I’ve discovered this season have been helping me out big time. Now, it’s time to share!

Travel Destination: Southeast Asia

Merry Christmas Eve! I am SO excited to be traveling to Asia for the next three weeks! We’ve done lots of research on where to go, what sights to see, and of course, have made a must-eat list for our trip as well.

Amidst all the planning chaos, I made sure to reserve a little bit of time to carefully plan what I’m bringing along for my skin in preparation for my trip. Starting with the plane ride:

To keep me looking refreshed, I’m bringing Jurlique Citrus Purifying Mist ($21 US). I’ll be sitting on a plane with all that yucky processed air for the better part of a day so I’ll need this to help hydrate and revive my skin.

Indulge in the Royal Treatment with Tarte Royal Collection Palette

I find that luxury is found in all those slight but special details, don’t you agree? That’s probably why as beauty fanatics we go crazy over unique touches like sophisticated packaging or subtle shimmer. It makes a world of difference to us!

This must also be why I’ve been using the Tarte Royal Collection Limited Edition Holiday Palette ($43 US) so often lately. It’s well put together, easy to grab in the morning, and doesn’t need fussing to work with. A sign of true luxury.

I feel like I’m getting the royal treatment every time I open this box; don’t the festive jewel-tone shades twinkle like gems? The blendable mattes ground the color scheme though for versatility so I can take this palette along well after the holidays.
