Happy Birthday to Me from Ruby et Violette!

I came home from work today and discovered this delicious box of cookies from Ruby et Violette sitting there waiting for me!

I’ve never been to this bakery in New York, but lucky for me, a colleague sent the Giverny gift box for my birthday (yay!).

The Giverny features two each of six different kinds of cookies (12 total). I can’t wait to try these flavors that were included in my box, available year ’round except where noted:

- Lemon White
- Champagne Strawberry
- Perfect (choco chip)
- Spiced Oatmeal (seasonal)
- First Kiss
- Darn Good! (Snickers and Baby Ruth bars with peanut butter, caramel; seasonal)

I’ve got my eye to devour Lemon White. I absolutely love white chocolate and the hit of lemon will surely brighten up this cookie.

Winter-Proof Your Palms with Hand Creams

Winter is here and it arrived with a vengeance. One day it’s mild and comfortable, the next day it’s snowing puffy snowflakes then it’s a mix of wintery rain, snow and sleet that chills down to the bone. As you would adjust your skincare regime for summer’s heat and humidity, make sure you’re equally prepared for the drying conditions of winter.

One of the first body parts that fall prey to winter wear and tear are the hands. Frequent hand washings and windy cold weather is no match to even the warmest or most high-tech gloves. To fend off cracked and dry hands, I rely on hand creams.

What a perfect pair! It’s hard to believe a Wonder Woman and MAC collaboration didn’t happen sooner. Both are strong, gorgeous, feminine and powerful forces to be reckoned with.

MAC Wonder Woman Pop Up Store in NYC SoHo

If you’re in New York, be one of the first to check out the Wonder Woman collection at MAC’s first-ever Pop-Up store. The MAC Wonder Woman collection will be sold exclusively at the Spring Street location through February 10, 2011 when it debuts at all MAC locations in North America.

The MAC Wonder Woman Pop-Up Store is located at 109 Spring Street in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. The store will stay through the end of April 2011.
