Sometimes you just have a major craving for a good burger. That’s exactly how we felt when we got back from our vacation – 3 weeks of delicious and fresh Southeast Asian cuisine left us starved for good old greasy Western food.
Our first night back in town, we headed straight to Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Orange, CA. Having never eaten there before, we knew it would be a gamble to go, not knowing if it would satisfy our craving. But alas, it was everything we wanted at that moment in time.

I got the Cheeseburger and regular order of Cajun fries. Halfway through, I was wishing I had ordered the smaller version (the Little Cheeseburger) but it just hit the spot so well I devoured this entire thing.
Thinking back on it, this Five Guys burger is comparable to a good cookout burger you could do in your backyard during summer barbecue season. The condiments consisted of mayo, mustard, ketchup, or a variety of hot, bbq or steak sauce – all items you can get from your local grocery store.
Without a special sauce, I couldn’t put this in the category of best burger I’d ever eaten, but it sure was good in the middle of winter when you aren’t at a neighborhood barbecue every other week.
Have you tried a Five Guys burger yet? They’ve got locations throughout the U.S. for your dining convenience.
