Drybar Salon Opens in Newport Beach, CA

The concept of a salon that only does blowouts doesn’t seem off the wall. But can you believe that this niche type of salon has only been around for a few years?

Drybar, the original blowout-only salon, just celebrated the opening of their latest Newport Beach location at Orange County’s posh Fashion Island shopping center. The new salon is the newest of 6 current locations (more to come soon!) in southern California and we were lucky enough to attend the fabulous grand opening shindig last week.

Would You Wear Feather Hair Extensions?

I’m always wild about seeing how celebrities (or their stylists!) interpret trends. It’s much more do-able and realistic than copying them straight off the runways, though in my fantasy I would!

I don’t usually pay attention to the hair since I’m more captivated by the makeup and clothing, but there is one trend that I’ve thought a lot about.

Faking it with Face Bronzers

Hooray! Spring is officially here. I can finally pack up all my dark woolen clothes and whip out the whites, brights and open-toed shoes. The downside of re-introducing a colorful spring wardrobe is that it highlights the pasty winter afterglow.

Throughout the spring months, I’ll be working up to a full-body faux glow. But to kick off my transition to an enviable golden hue, I’m starting with my face and relying on a bevy of beautiful, believable bronzers.

Get the Look: Lips and Lashes by Rimmel

It’s like those new songs you hear on the radio. At first, you may be indifferent or dislike it but in a couple days it’s your jam and you can’t stop singing it in the shower. Likewise, that’s how I feel about these new Rimmel goodies.

I’ve been testing their new Day 2 Night Mascara ($7.99 US) and Moisture Renew Gloss ($5.99 US) for a few weeks now. But compared to what I initially thought about them which was something like “ehh,” I’ve changed my mind.
