Be Camera Ready with the Lorac Hot Off the Red Carpet Collection
If there’s one thing that shouldn’t be a hassle it’s seasonally coordinating your makeup colors. One great tip I got from a makeup artist is to center your cosmetic wardrobe around one star product for smooth versatility. In this case, Summer calls for a gorgeous bronzer which immediately makes the look warm and glowing.
If you’re like me and are going to spend most of your time in or near the water, you probably want to keep your look light. Enter the Lorac Hot Off the Red Carpet Collection ($36 US). It’s a well designed set with almost everything you’ll need for hitting the pool or throwing a BBQ party. Plus the gold sequin bag it comes with is adorable!
In this value set there’s some competition going on, but the exclusive TANtalizier Baked Bronzer shines out as the brightest star. The soft bronze and tan tones with veins of gold look pretty in the pan but even nicer on skin since the warmth is believable. I like the satiny texture and finish, not too shimmery or matte so the color isn’t flat.
This bronzer is on the lighter, sheerer side so darker beauties may find that this color needs to be built up more or is only usable as a highlighter. I like having the ability to layer when it comes to bronzers but found I needed to go in two or three times with a brush for a medium intensity beach bunny look.
I don’t have much luck with baked eye shadows since the color payoff never seems to be potent enough when used dry. Yet I really like the Lorac Baked Eyeshadow Duos. They’re super pigmented and have a reflective quality that make the lids sparkle. I only wish they weren’t so fragile. I dropped Tempt Me and a chunk chipped.
It’s weird to me that I am sort of obsessed with the Baked Eyeshadow Duo in Tempt Me. It seems like another boring neutral duo, but each color is magic. The golden beige has a slight greenish flash to it while the deep Teddy brown hints at red and plum. The colors truly haven’t been done justice until you see them in person.
Classically Summery, the Baked Eyeshadow Duo in Tease Me is a stunner all on its own. The rich metallic amber is an appropriate alternative to gold this season for brightening. The golden aqua looks seafoam green in certain lightings and pairs beautifully with the amber. I could see this duo being very popular with all eye colors.
Not exactly 3D but certainly no ordinary gloss, the Multiplex 3D Lipgloss in 3D is something I would never have paired with this collection but works flawlessly. It’s a copper bronze lipgloss with intense, unique violet and rosy pink glitter.
I would say this gloss is semi-sheer but the amazing glitter is definitely very opaque and visible. The Multiplex 3D Lipgloss is packaged with an effective brush-style applicator and lasts anywhere from two to four hours on me.
Do you prefer baked makeup? Is bronzer a must in your daily makeup routine?

Lilan, I think it’s the glitter that makes the gloss 3D!
