Unlike most, I dislike going to the beach or pool in the heat of the afternoon. Besides it being the most crowded time of the day, reapplying sunscreen constantly is a chore. What I usually do is go to the beach in the early morning and the pool late in the evening.
But there are of course some occasions that I can’t avoid or don’t want to miss. The crowds of people are inevitable. However I can prepare for the sun with a sunblock that allows me to enjoy the day instead of constantly slathering on product. My latest favorite? The Aveeno Hydrosport Sunblock Lotion SPF 85 ($10.79 US).

Will coral ever not be the color of the season during the Summertime? I certainly don’t think so. It compliments a warmer, sun-kissed complexion perfectly and looks amazing next to orange, one of my favorite colors.
I’m still in search of the perfect coral nail lacquer, but it’s been a good season so far because I have a wonderful lippie to tide me over until then. Although it has been unfortunately discontinued, meet the MAC Slimshine Lipstick in Funshine.

I watched Tron Legacy this week via Netflix hoping for a good sci-fi, action flick. It was an alright movie though I was expecting more, especially from the plot. What really stuck with me from the film though is the stunning hair and makeup.
Isn’t Quorra’s smoky eye to die for? The slash of edgy black eyeshadow looks bold against her pale skin and choppy hair. I also like the visual effect of Gem’s white hair, skin, and outfit against her smoldering black lids. Is there a movie whose characters wear makeup you can’t get off your mind?
