Summer Ready with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliner
It’s officially Summer! Time to kick-start the season of bright lips, sun kissed skin, and waterproof everything. With plenty of exciting trends to have fun with, each Summer beauty collection is even prettier than the next.
The one thing you’ll need to support every look besides a waterproof mascara is a good waterproof eyeliner in wearable neutral colors. The Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliner Duo ($28 US) is just the thing.
Sold conveniently in sets of two by QVC, these eyeliners are infused with Tarte’s signature Amazonian Clay which is supposed to balance skin. I didn’t see any noticeable benefits to my oily eyelids though the texture of the pencil is very creamy.
There are five colors available as of now: Black, Brown, Plum, Navy, and Turquoise. The color pay-off I experienced with Black, Brown, and Plum is amazing. Though they’re not the most unique colors, each one is pigmented and vibrant and flatters all eye colors meaning options.
For me the Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliner is not waterproof, but no eyeliner ever has been. However I get around 6 hours of solid wear on my oily lids which is a little more than what I get with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide on Eyeliner.
Tarte does a really good job with texture in my opinion. These pencils are not different and just glide on. One tip for application is to let the eyeliner set after application. Since it’s so soft the product needs some time to fix onto the skin to avoid smearing or transferring.
