Why Settle for Less with the Secret Scent Expressions Crystal Clear Gel?

I’m kind of a disaster when it comes to baking from scratch. Measuring things and whisking shouldn’t be too hard, yet most of my attempted goodies later end up in the trash. So I pride myself in easy bake, no-fail Pillsbury brand brownies.

Until the time I bought Ghirardelli brownie mix. Terrible and hard as tack! Lesson learned, there are some things you never want to buy untested or without major raves backing it up. Like boxed mixes and deodorant/antiperspirant.

Let me tell you, the one time I tried a different deodorant on a whim I went right back later to buy my usual kind. It was a waste of money and time.

MAC Art of Powder Collection for Fall 2011

One thing I noticed during my time as a blogger is the increased production of beautifully embossed, oversprayed, and printed powder products. I for one am an adoring fan of such pretty powders, especially if they come in a gorgeous compact case.

Enter the MAC Art of Powders Collection for Fall 2011. Releasing September 29th, this three piece collection is smaller and pricier than what we usually see from MAC. But think of it as investing in an art piece when contemplating the purchase. Each item certainly plays the part convincingly well.

Crystal Says: Weekend Beauty Reads

My most prized and expensive nail lacquers are the four Deborah Lippmann bottles I own. I’ve only talked about one of them on the blog, Across the Universe (here) because I only just bought the other three.

From left to right we have: Bad Romance, Ruby Red Slippers, Across the Universe, and Lady Sings the Blues. I adore the sequin style glitter signature to Lippmann and each color is gorgeous to boot.

I’m planning on organizing all my polishes before doing my nails with Ruby Red Slippers this weekend. Do you have any plans?

Hello Kitty Graffiti Collection for Fall 2011

There are so many forms of art and I personally believe that graffiti-style is one of them. Case in point, I’ve seen beautiful works in downtown Los Angeles that aren’t anything like what the word graffiti connotes. Truly expressive art is more like it.

While I wouldn’t describe myself as a very edgy person, graffiti art is something I can appreciate at times. Even the very sweet Miss Hello Kitty agrees with the Hello Kitty Graffiti Collection for Fall 2011 at Sephora.

Bringing a whole different side of Hello Kitty to the plate, this five piece collection is a must for any Sanrio fan!
