Lorac Front of the Line PRO Actually Lasts!

I don’t usually go crazy for simple, glowy makeup but I have made an exception for the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 show. Did you see the gorgeous pearlescent skin, contoured cheeks, thick lashes, and radiant eye makeup on the models?

For the past week I’ve been trying to emulate the look. I even stopped wearing eyeliner on my waterline, something my friends noticed immediately since I always do. I haven’t got it down quite yet but I do know that one of the key components for me is a thin line of liquid eyeliner to emphasize the lash line.

The one I have been using is the Lorac Front of the Line Pro in Black ($23 US). It’s just a basic liquid eyeliner pen with a felt tip but I’d like to preface my review by saying that it is now my holy grail liquid eyeliner simply because it stays on.

Since I began experimenting with liquid eyeliner I’ve thought that the pen style is the easiest to use. The tip goes on smoothly and it isn’t too hard to transition from a thick to a thin line. The Lorac eyeliner has all these qualities plus two more that I love.

The first and most important being that this product actually lasts the entire day on me. That’s huge because I have never experienced an eyeliner (pencil, gel, liquid, or cream) that sticks around though the Napoleon Perdis Neo Noir Liquid Liner came the closest before I met the Lorac one.

No smudging, transferring, fading or budging although this liquid eyeliner is not waterproof. For everyday wear it is an excellent option and dries quickly too so you just apply and go without thinking about it until you take it off.

Next we have the pigmentation and opacity. Whereas the Napoleon Perdis looked brown-black at times the Lorac Front of the Line PRO always looks inky black. I don’t need to go over the same line multiple times for thick opacity either.

I made a thick and slightly thinner line to show that the brush tip can be manipulated to draw on a line of your desired thickness. For the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2012 look I’ve been trying to create, a thin line is preferable since most of the eye look is concentrated on highlighting the inner corners and the lush lashes.

What Spring/Summer 2012 trends are you already looking at? Have you tried the Lorac Front of the Line PRO?
