Get Gorgeous with these Celebrity Mom Must-Haves

It’s hard to believe how Hollywood’s celebrity moms stay beautiful while balancing crazy schedules with their families.

Sure they might have nannies and personal trainers, things that may be out of reach for some of us, but there are a few beauty products that A-listers love that are surely within reach for any mom this Mother’s Day to make her feel her most beautiful.

Avon spokeswoman Courteney Cox invites you into the spotlight with Avon’s new Spotlight fragrance ($22.50 US). With notes of citrus, white freesias, and cashmere sandalwood, it’s a fun and flirty scent that’s light enough for summer.

Give yourself a Demi Moore-approved manicure this season! Moore’s assistant tracked down Celebrity Manicurist Marsha Bialo because Demi simply had to have Hope Chest by China Glaze.

All Access: Backstage at Propr

Who: Propr, a sartorial venture between actor David Arquette and musician Ben Harper, features ready-to-wear apparel for both sexes.

When: Tuesday, February 17th, 2009 at Highline Ballroom

Avon’s Lead Hairstylist Allen Ruiz went with the spirit of the collection and its creators by letting the models walk down the runway as they are and not quell their individual style. Using Avon’s salon-quality Advanced Techniques hair care line, Ruiz balanced each model’s look with the tone set by the pieces they were wearing.

Every hairstyle seen at the show can be replicated at home. Ruiz used Advanced Techniques Curl Refresher to play up natural curls and waves. Ruiz also used Advanced Techniques Mirror Shine that does double duty as a heat protectant and gives hair a shiny finish. The best thing about the Avon line is that it is effective and affordable; both qualities admired by us beauty recessionistas!

Afterwards, the Propr fashion show turned into a live concert where Ben Harper performed with his new band Relentless 7. Rock and roll, cool duds, actress wives and their famous friends on a nippy winter weeknight…what more could a girl ask for?

Celebrity Get the Look – Oscar’s Edition: Kate Winslet

This year, to celebrate the Academy Awards and all the style hits and misses, I’m dedicating a full feature to the top female nominees in the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories in a Celebrity Get the Look series, highlighting each contender’s top beauty looks throughout the recent years.

First up, Kate Winslet. She’s received a ton of buzz in the beauty world since winning two Golden Globes in January for her performances in The Reader and Revolutionary Road.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane to revisit some of her recent looks and how to get them.
