Sparkle with Stila Indian Summer 24K Gold Collection

Indian summers are the norm in San Francisco, but up here in South Lake Tahoe, where I’m spending the next few days helping my mom with her business, summer is in full swing.

This morning, I was looking for ways to translate the subtle sparkle from the lake and tinges of gold in my makeup seemed to be perfect for the way life makes me feel when I’m here.

I took inspiration in Stila’s new Indian Summer collection featuring new goodies with real 24K gold infused into the products. The result is a light, summery look that sparkles just enough to illuminate my face, but doesn’t go overboard into a scary world of bling.

Stila 24K Golden Noir Smudge Pot ($2o US) is a fabulous edition to my collection of gel eyeliners. To the touch, the consistency is a little softer and more mousse-like than those of Bobbi Brown and MAC.

Bobbi Brown Nudes Collection: New Shades of Creamy Lip Color!

Last week I was at Bloomingdale’s after running a couple of errands in downtown San Francisco and saw a brand new collection from Bobbi Brown that had just been set up the day before. There was only one gal working the counter so I couldn’t really ask her all I wanted about the pretty new Nudes Collection.

I know, I know, Bobbi Brown is already known for this type of contemporary classic look. But something about her products and sensibility when it comes to makeup and beauty always draws me in - just take a look at my closet full of Banana Republic ‘fits and you’ll know I never shy away from tried and true vs. trendy.

Sneak Peak: MAC Euristocrats 2 Dazzleglass

MAC Euristocrats 2 collection launches on counters on July 2nd (but if you can’t wait, check it out online!) and is the follow up to the UK Exclusive collection of MAC Euristocrats that came out in April 2008.

I attended the International Makeup Artist Trade Show over the weekend and was able to get a sneak peak of three of the new Dazzleglasses ($18 US each) from Euristocrats 2. They really are amazing colors, and I believe that this collection will be quite popular with lippy lovers of the world!

A 24K Gold Indian Summer with Stila

I’ve been surfing the beauty blogs all morning for some new summer inspiration and came across this Stila Indian Summer FOTD from Miss Karen at Makeup and Beauty Blog. Whenever I’m looking to find something new, I go to her for my beauty fix!

On this day she featured a hot and sultry gold and copper look with goodies from Stila’s new Indian Summer Collection that was absolutely gorgeous. I mean, how can anything infused with 24K gold not look good?

Clinique Summer 2009: Bamboo Pink

There are few people who have tried Clinique who haven’t tried Bamboo Pink, one of the brand’s top-selling lip colors.

It’s so popular, in fact, that this season Clinique has created an entire color collection based just on this sweet yet seductive pink hue.

The Bamboo Pink Collection gives us limited edition products in sexy, chic bamboo packaging (remember last year’s Ribbon Pink from Clinique’s Breast Cancer Awareness Collection?). Here are the summer collections must-haves:
