EA Ceramide Mascara Gives This Girl a Curl

ea-ceramide-mascara_1.jpg

Every day for the past couple of weeks, I’ve found myself reaching for Elizabeth Arden’s Ceramide mascara to complete my look for all occasions. I found this kind of bizarre because with all of the other great reviews of Ceramide other from some of my favorite bloggers, I still wouldn’t classify it as my holy grail mascara.

But there’s something about this mascara in a sleek and sturdy little gold tube that keeps me coming back. Is it because this formula that gives my lashes a full coat of glossy beyond any other I’ve tried before? Certainly - this mascara contains Elizabeth Arden’s exclusive Ceramide Triple Complex with vitamins A, C, and E to give my lashes that healthy look I want.

Unlike CoverGirl’s Lash Blast, I like how the wand is smaller and and enabled me to get to every lash easily. It separated my lashes nicely, didn’t flake throughout the day, and I got very little clumping (only when I wasn’t careful). The best part of Ceramide for me, though, has got to be the lovely curl that holds almost all day long. They make my eyes look so flirty!

Now for the cons - it didn’t give the volume I craved to make my wimpy lashes happy and while it did lengthen a little, it just wasn’t enough for me in the end.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Mascara ($20 US) is one that I might buy again - but I won’t stop trying other mascaras to find my one true love - fo’ shizz.

Have you tried this Ceramide?  What are your favorite mascaras? I’m still looking for one to top my L’Oreal Original Voluminous and am open for suggestions!

Introducing Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Effects Lipstick & LOTD

color-intrigue-effect-lipstick.jpg

Today I was feeling a little blah as I sifted through tubes and tubes of lip glosses in my makeup stash. I just couldn’t find the perfect shade that was gonna give me that oomph I was looking for - that is until I popped open a tube of Elizabeth Arden Color Intrigue Effects Lipstick I got a few weeks ago.

Sugarplum Shimmer is a punchy berry plum with subtle shimmer. The second I put it on, it immediately inspired me to change out of my black top (I wear black almost every day), to a pretty purple one! I gave myself another once over and decided the particular shade was a little old lady-ish (you know what I’m talkin’ about, ya?). Also, the feeling of wearing lipstick only is still a little foreign to me so I applied a layer of Clinique Color Surge Impossibly Glossy in Sure Thing over Sugarplum Shimmer and was finally satisfied.
