What Are the Numbers Behind MAC Tabloid Beauty?

Don’t you hate it when beauty brands make exaggerated claims that never seem to have enough proof and do what they say? How big would your lashes look if they were volumized by 400% anyway? In my opinion, that would be too much!

Not all companies cushion their advertisements beyond belief though. Take MAC Cosmetics for example, their new Tabloid Beauty Collection doesn’t seem too outrageous. In fact, the numbers seems downright reasonable!

MAC Prep + Prime Skin Refined Zone ($19.50 US): Primers nowadays aren’t just for smoothing your skin to prep it for foundation.  For example, this one has mattifying properties and helps disguise pores by 37%.

Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Palette: An FOTD to Kick Off the Movie Release!

A big screen version of a childhood classic, Alice in Wonderland, opens in theaters today!  And so, I’ve decided to pull out my new Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows and create a Face of the Day just for the occasion.

I dunno how they do it, but it always seems like Urban Decay knows how to create the mother of all palettes.  Remember their Ammo Eye Palette?  I created so many fun looks with that one!

Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows ($52 US) is twice the size with some of the same colors (these shades are existing from UD, just re-named to fit the theme) and the combinations you can do with it is ENDLESS.. seriously.

Yay or Nay? MAC Studio Fix Lash Mascara

I don’t know about you, but within my family tree the men seem to have lusher eyelashes than the women. But of course, this is why mascara and “medieval torture devices” (a.k.a. eyelash curlers) were invented, to help us ladies enhance/fake what we’ve got.

In my case, I’m pretty satisfied with my natural lashes, but I am on a continual search for the ultimate curling and lengthening mascara that won’t break the bank. This year, I’m glad to say that I’ve started out on the right foot with MAC Studio Fix Lash Mascara ($13 US).
