Thank goodness there were lots of Emmy’s fashions this year that were amazing to make up for some of the bad fashions you’re about to witness.
Vanessa Williams looks like she’s about to fly away in this feathered Kevan Hall. Thankfully her hair and makeup look natural and flawless.

Kyra Sedgwick’s Oscar de la Renta tiered frock in black looks dreadful for the red carpet.

Another black dress on Jamie Pressly by St. John looks too dark for this afternoon event in sunny Southern California.

And finally, Hayden Panettiere gets the ultimate “what-were-you-thinking?!” award for worst dressed of the evening in this Marc Bouwer gown.

The stars at last night’s 59th Annual Emmy Awards were definitely shining bright! We saw a lot of jewel-toned colors this year that really popped on the red carpet. Take a peak a a few of my favorites.
Portia de Rossi in a beautiful blue Azzaro gown.

My absolute favorite look of the evening was Heidi Klum in this stunning shade of raspberry Dior by John Galliano.
Ellen Pompeo looks like a modern day goddess in this navy Michael Kors design.
Debra Messing always gives us sleek lines in this black and white Ralph Lauren.
America Ferrera looks so fun and youthful in this electric blue gown from Monique L’huillier.

This simple, but screaming ruby-red Reem Acra dress looks beautifully subtle on Ali Larter.

We’re on Day 3 of Fashion Week in New York and my pick for today? Miss Vera Wang.

This seasons show featured a lot of mustards, olives and browns with blues and purples thrown in every so often. Vera Wang also designed her like with fabrics of subtle metallics and sheens. The silhouettes were loose and straight, most not form-fitting at all. Check out her enter line here.

Yesterday’s runway events gave us lots of great new fashions from designers like Miss Sixty and Lela Rose.

One of my favorites: Badgley Mischka. They gave us sleek fashions resembling what I would (dream) to wear while vacationing in some very expensive and chic resort. There were lots of high waistlines, black and grays with subtle pops of color against the otherwise basic color palette - a great accent on the models were their coral-colored lips, too.

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has officially kicked off in New York folks! Each day, I’ll choose my favorite designer to post about on The Daily Cookie. Today’s pick: BCBG.
I love BCBG for it’s simple and classy yet fashion-forward designs. For Spring 2008, we see a toned down color palette of grays, ivory and taupe for the most part. There’s lots of organza and everything is oh-so romantic and flowy - I love it! Check out the rest of his collection here.
