Laura Mercier Fall 2008 with Cherries Noir
Isn’t it interesting that both MAC and Laura Mercier came out with fall collections this season based on deliciously succulent cherries? It’s not a huge surprise since this season is all about the deep plum and burgundy lips, two colors that can be achieved beautifully with a little stain of cherries. And Laura Mercier Cherries Noir collection definitely gives it to us with gorgeous 1940s glamour in mind.
With the Cherries Noir collection, Laura Mercier introduces a new lippie - Lip Velvet, a rich and voluptuous formula containing a blend of moisturizing, anti-aging, anti-oxidant, and plumping ingredients to give your pout that va va vavoom effect we crave. Lip Velvet ($22 US) comes 5 pretty demi-matte finishes for your makeup bag this fall.
The other goody I’m looking forward to is the Illuminating Powder quad in a new shade for Cherries Noir, Mocha Spice Quad ($35 US). Illuminating Powders have 4 shades within the compact that blend together nicely to add a glow to your complexion. Don’t forget, just because it’s fall doesn’t mean that you need to go all matte with no shimmer. We want to look healthy and glowing all year ’round!
Are you hot for Cherries Noir? Or are you staying true to MAC Cult of Cherry?
