Lip Lust: Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Balm Stain

Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Balm Stain

Casually pulling her lipstick out of her chic cognac leather tote, my friend refreshes her lipstick anytime and anywhere. She never feels the need to use a mirror unless it’s already conveniently handy.

She’s less concerned about the precision of her look, because she pulls off her beauty with an impression of cool insouciance. As for me, I would never trust myself to fix any of the makeup on my face without some sort of reflective surface.

Lip Lust: Tarte LipSurgence Power Pigment

Tarte LipSurgence Power Pigment

With the chilly weather here in Massachusetts and my new internship at t+j Designs, I’ve never been wearing more things around my neck. Be it a chunky scarf or a glamorous crystal necklace, I’ve been gravitating towards stand-out lip colors to complement my accessories.

Lip Lust: DHC Premium Lipstick GE

DHC Premium Lipstick GE review

Some lipsticks are like spoiled children, very difficult to deal with but ultimately (hopefully) rewarding. The DHC Premium Lipstick GE ($19 US) is more like a quiet, smart kid sitting at the kitchen table reading a book.

All Access: Backstage at Novis A/W ’14

Novis beauty fall 2014

Although New York Fashion Week is hectic, I didn’t stress, just because I felt so fortunate to be there at all! If there was an iota of stress involved, it was only from having to figure out how to navigate Manhattan to get to each show on time.

All Access: Backstage at Tibi A/W ’14

Tibi backstage fall 2014

My favorite moments backstage at New York Fashion Week are watching the talented artists transform the models into an image and persona that represents what the designer wants them to project on the runway.

It’s always interesting to see the connection between the fashion and the beauty. Sometimes, I have to admit I don’t see it very easily, but when it clicks, the effect is a beautiful experience. Continuing with our coverage of NYFW, see the beauty looks at Tibi below!
