Last week, I talked about my new makeup favorite: the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti ($7.49 US). I’m still in love and wanted to share another shade with you in case pink is your cup of tea.

The colorful, practically neon lips trending for Spring must have gotten to me because I now have the urge to wear bright, girly pink lips. Strawberry Shortcake is a great gateway pink that applies more sheerly than it looks in the tube.

As I mentioned in my initial review of the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters, the formula and shades are absolutely stunning. Strawberry Shortcake looks like a lipstick worn, but is never drying unlike a lot of lipsticks.

I’m in love with this blue-based hot pink color. Strawberry Shortcake is one of those colors that match readily to any blush. It is rather bright though, so I prefer keeping it subtle on the eyes.

With thick lashes, light brown eyeshadow, and dark brown eyeliner, you have a girl-next-door look. Yet the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake can just as easily turn into a night out on the town with a deep grey smoky eye.

I’ve gotten lots of compliments on this color and find it flattering even in my pale state. I can’t wait to wear it with a golden glow in the middle of July!

In one swipe the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake is less saturated than Tutti Frutti. However, it’s a nice reminder of the fact that these layer well so you can go from a barely there to head turning in just a few seconds.

And the best part is that these don’t disappear as quickly as they apply. They last as long as any creamy lipstick, about four to six hours, despite their extra emollient texture.

I haven’t seen so much hype about a drugstore beauty product since the Wet ‘n’ Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trios. Since I love those as much as I do, I figured it would be wise to pay attention to the raved-about Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter ($7.49 US).

Something we’re seeing a lot of this season, Revlon offers lip colors with a youthful, vibrant vibe. The hybrid between a gloss, balm, and lipstick has been done before, but never as gracefully as Revlon has managed.

The difference is in the ability to build up color. While most lippies in the same category are often too sheer or not moisturizing enough, the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters straddle the best of all three worlds.

I love these for a pop of color that starts from medium-sheer but has the ability to become as opaque as lipstick. My lips never dry out from wearing these. Slightly shiny, yet not excessively so in order to extend wear, these are a dream come true.

The $8 price is shocking to me. The plastic packaging isn’t exactly glamorous, but it feels sturdy. The level of pigmentation and comfort the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters boast make them my favorite across the board, not just in the drugstore.

I currently have two shades with Tutti-Frutti, an unapologetically bold red-orange coral, being my first. I can’t wait to get more colors, and with 20 shades available, you just know you’ll find the right color for every mood or occasion.

I’ve never been a huge fan of lipsticks, simply because I like the look of subtle, soft lips. Yet the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti-Frutti made me take another look at bright lips. Pretty and flattering, I can see why a statement lip might be the only makeup you need to brighten your look.

Overall, I love these so much that I’ve been contemplating collecting the whole line. Gradually, of course. I’m waiting for a big 40% off sale at Rite Aid, but until then I think I’ll pick up one more. I think Crème Brule, a warm nude, sounds nice, don’t you?
