Morsels of the Week ft. NYC, Birchbox, NARS

Shoes of the Day

Basically the past two weeks I’ve been in NYC, one of my favorite cities to visit and just a reasonable bus ride away from my school. Last week I was here with my best friend and we had a ton of fun just shopping around and eating great food.

Above #shoesoftheday photo featuring Kate Spade and Miu Miu sandals with the (apologies!) chipped nails in Central Park.

Lust List ft. Givenchy, Too Faced, Triangl Swimwear

Lust List collage

I’ve recently realized that most of my shopping is rather impulsive. Sure I might go into a store knowing what kind of item I want, but rarely do I have an exact item in mind with unwavering conviction about my decision to purchase it.

However, the planned purchases I have made are often the ones that I’m happiest with. So why not apply this knowledge a little further and have the foresight to actually try to save for items I really want? So instead of “going shopping,” I’d be going to XXX store to buy YYY. It sounds grand, doesn’t it? I got so inspired and carried away that I couldn’t help but make a current little Lust List.

Morsels of the Week ft. Madewell, Acai, and NARS

Fashion and beauty

I’m back in Massachusetts now on the East Coast, which is the complete opposite end of the country from where I was the last time I posted a “Morsels of the Week.” I’m honestly glad to be back and settled down for a while. Living out of a suitcase is no fun!

Fashion and beauty loves currently are the Valentino Rockstud T-Strap Pump (similar here), Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint ($24 US), NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil ($25 US), Chanel Glossimer ($29.50 US).

Morsels of the Week ft. NARS Nails, Tarte Skincare, MAC Lips

NARS Mots Bleus

I’m in Seattle right now working at the physical location of t+j Designs for my internship. The month that I’ve been here has flown by, and I’ve had such a enriching experience seeing so many different aspects of how the company runs.

When we take photos of our cute rings, we like to make sure we have on a fun nail color too. This past week I wore the NARS Nail Polish in Mots Bleus ($20 US). It’s a gorgeous greyed-out kind of teal that works so nicely as a Summer to Fall transition color. NARS recently reformulated their polishes, but to be honest I don’t notice much of a difference, because I’ve always been a fan.

3.1 Phillip Lim for NARS Nail Collection for Fall 2014

NARS 3.1 Phillip Lim collection review

I maintain a lust list of designer items I dream of one day owning and slowly save towards. For the longest time a 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli bag topped my list. Stylish yet edgy, I loved the bag’s structured silhouette.

I recently took the plunge and got myself one and thought I couldn’t be happier. That is, until I received these two NARS Nail Polishes ($20 US) from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for NARS Nail Collection in the mail. Now I’m positively glowing with a little bit of the designer on my fingertips and slung across my arm.
