Chocolate and Vintage Gold

chocolate and gold

Going back to the little details, I’m feeling inspired by warm chocolate tones that feel dreamy against changing leaves and the brisk air. Monochromatic brushed “vintage gold” jewelry looks luxe without being flashy and pairs perfectly with velvety deep colors. Navy and chocolate are a winning combination as are burgundy (or any other dark reds) and browns.

What are your favorite colors for Fall fashions?

Nails of the Week: NARS Zakynthos

NARS Zakynthos

One of my favorite styling tricks is to wear my favorite nude heels with a bare-leg outfit. Even at 5’2” the illusion of a continuous line lengthens my legs like nothing else. Same goes for nails.

A nude polish can be your most flattering and classic bet. More often than not, it looks luxurious and expensive, given that you are wearing the right shade of nude for your skintone.

My most recent nude polish favorite is the NARS Nail Polish in Zakynthos ($20 US), a creamy pink grey-tinged beige that makes my hands look great and my nails perfectly polished and neat.

When was the last time you wore a nude nail polish?

Dressed Up Metallic Nails

Metallic Nails

Every year Fall comes around, and every year it’s no surprise that luxurious metallic colors seize the spotlight. Not that I’m complaining. Rich shimmery antique shades feel so appropriate and are almost as easy to match with as neutrals.

With my favorite copper eyeliner in hand and gold-laced highlighters dusted on my cheeks, I also welcomed two new nail colors into my wardrobe for the season.

Morsels of the Week ft. NYC, Birchbox, NARS

Shoes of the Day

Basically the past two weeks I’ve been in NYC, one of my favorite cities to visit and just a reasonable bus ride away from my school. Last week I was here with my best friend and we had a ton of fun just shopping around and eating great food.

Above #shoesoftheday photo featuring Kate Spade and Miu Miu sandals with the (apologies!) chipped nails in Central Park.

Lust List ft. Givenchy, Too Faced, Triangl Swimwear

Lust List collage

I’ve recently realized that most of my shopping is rather impulsive. Sure I might go into a store knowing what kind of item I want, but rarely do I have an exact item in mind with unwavering conviction about my decision to purchase it.

However, the planned purchases I have made are often the ones that I’m happiest with. So why not apply this knowledge a little further and have the foresight to actually try to save for items I really want? So instead of “going shopping,” I’d be going to XXX store to buy YYY. It sounds grand, doesn’t it? I got so inspired and carried away that I couldn’t help but make a current little Lust List.
