It’s the end of the year and you’ve got holiday parties lined up like Christmas lights.  You have to look fabulous at every event because you’ll never know who you’ll meet.  I’ve got my party primp routine down to a “T”.

But the one part of my beauty routine that has always been a challenge is my hair.  I can never predict its outcome.  I can straighten my hair all morning and have it ruined in a minute by unexpected rain drops.  I can have the perfect makeup, a cute dress only to be paired with unruly frizzy hair.

When I heard about Redken Chemistry  and its promise to transform my hair with its luxurious, customized technique—I had to try it!

Redken Chemistry is a newly re-formulated in-salon treatment that will help repair hair from both chemical (coloring, perm, straightening) and mechanical (normal wear and tear, blow dry, thermal irons) abuse.

I was fortunate enough to book an appointment with Redken Hair Color Consultant David Stanko at the Angelo David salon located in midtown Manhattan.  The process was quick, easy and painless.  Here’s how it went:

First, my hair was washed with Redken’s Hair Cleansing Cream shampoo to remove the build-up of cooper, iron, hard-water minerals and styling products.  Your stylist will find the shampoo that best matches your hair’s needs too.  After the hair is washed, the excess water is squeezed out so that the treatment can penetrate into the hair cuticles.  Then the magical Redken Chemistry process begins.
