Shhh, don’t tell but one of my favorite ever “guilty pleasure” movie is Legally Blonde! I’m a huge Reese Witherspoon fan, and I love how her character Elle is a brainy beauty with a heart of gold.

When it comes to cosmetics, being a brainy beauty is easier than you’d think. Just take a peek at these Stila Eyeliners. I know Elle would give them her stamp of approval!

Being Brainy: The Stila Convertible Eye Color in ($22 US) Forest houses three products in one slim case – an eyeliner, coordinating eye shadow, and smudging tool. It’s a no-worry, one minute eye look that saves time and space in your routine and bag.

Tip: One smart way to wear Forest is to smudge the liner and dab the eye shadow on the lid, inner corners, and brow bone to fake a wide awake look after a long night of studying. It looks great on my brown eyes!

Being a Beauty: Stila put out 11 shades, so you can be sure to find one that’s flattering for your eye color. Forest comes with a deep forest green eyeliner and sparkly yellow-gold eye shadow. Pigmentation is vibrant and the color is smooth on skin.

Tip: I wish the pencil were more long-wearing since I only get about 5 hours of wear. To fix this, I use the smudger to smoke out the faded liner for a cool, worn-in vibe!

Being Brainy: The Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Purple Tang ($20 US) is a long lasting, waterproof liner that won’t let you down. Whether in the pool or out, it stays bright and doesn’t migrate. It feels, looks, and glides on like my fave Stila Smudge Pots.

Tip: When it comes to removing, you’re going to have to pull out the heavy duty oil-based makeup removers to get every last trace of these eyeliners off.

Being a Beauty: When I first swatched these I gasped, they’re so dazzling! All eight colors have an intense shimmer effect, kinda like MAC Dazzleglasses. Purple Tang is an incredible deep purple with matching shimmer and pops even if you draw a thin line.

Tip: Regrettably, the packaging for these is flimsy and looks cheap. Also, be warned that you can’t twist the liner back down after using, only up.

Cherry popsicles always remind me of bright lipsticks. The chubby bullets are just the right shape and leave behind a sweet stain for the lips. I wish someone would invent a lip product that tasted, felt, and looked like them!

Until that genius product is made, I’ll console myself with some creamy, summery lip colors. Throw on a pair of sunglasses, cute dangly earrings, and a swipe of intense blush and I’m out the door with these fabulous tubes in tote.

The Body Shop Sheer Lip Shine in 09 (3 for $10 US) is the tinted moisturizer of lippies. It’s a hybrid with all the pluses of glosses and lipstick, but strikes a happy medium as semi-pigmented color. The moisturizing, non-sticky finish also keeps lips supple.

As one of the exceptions, 09 is a deeply saturated color; most of the others are sheerer. Rich raspberry in the tube, the color translates into a silver flecked fuchsia onto lips. It’s a gorgeous statement color that I found I’ve been applying constantly.

For a season-appropriate color, I’ve been layering the Yes to Carrots C Me Shine Lip Gloss in Red Hot ($6.49 US) and C Me Blush Lip Tint in Coral Sunshine ($4.49 US). The juicy blood orange color is surprisingly pigmented, but lightweight.

I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t lick my lips more often when I am wearing this lip combination! I’m in love with the tingly mint flavor, the 95% organic ingredients like shea butter and coconut oil, and the wallet-friendly price tag.

I like to defy nature a little by choosing lipstick that’s long-wearing like the Stila Long Wear Lip Color in Flushed ($20 US) whether it’s rain or shine. And just like a cherry popsicle, this crayon-style applicator glides on like a breeze.

Unlike a lot of other long-wear makeup, this true rosy pink lipstick doesn’t give you a case of dry, unattractive lips or gather in fine lines. Magically, the color almost melds into your pout and you won’t need to fuss over it for the next couple of hours!

I felt a little spunky this morning and decided to play with my Stila Jewel Shadow Palette ($32 US) from the latest spring collection.

Featuring four glittering shades of shadow, Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Black Diamond, and Golden Topaz, these shades appear to be very chunky but actually wear a little sheerer with a slightly wet-looking finish.

They’re quite unique and I adore Amethyst, the gray mauve shade.

For today’s Face of the Day, I applied Amethyst to the outer two thirds of my lids in sort of a reverse V (the tip of the V starts from the middle of the lid as opposed to the outer corner working in).

Then, with a large, angled fluff brush, I picked up Golden Topaz and applied it to the inner corner and used to the excess to blend out the gray mauve shade.

When I get a palette, I usually highlight my brow bone with the lightest shade but since these shadows were so glittery and I didn’t want to look like a disco ball, I patted the light pink Rose Quartz to the center of my lids to create a little pop.

Finish with a purple eyeliner.  My favorite is MAC Pearlglide in Rave (limited edition).  If you don’t have one, try MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil ($14.50 US) in Bordeauxline, a deep plum.

On my lips I’m wearing Stila Jewel Lip Glaze in Amethyst from their Jewel Lip Glaze Trio set ($32 US).  I love the deep violet and it’s so uber shimmery!

If you love the sparkle, give Stila’s new Diamond to Dust collection.  But beware a little bit of glitter fall out from the shadows throughout the day and don’t forget the eyeshadow primer as these babies are prone to creasing.

Have you seen a rainbow yet this year? With all the rain we’ve been having the past couple of weeks, I got to see one. The array of colors cheered me up and were so pretty to look at even through a window after the gloomy rain.

I would have gone looking for the pot of gold too, if I had the time and a lucky leprechaun.

The price for this product is a steal, not to mention the natural ingredients will moisturize winter skin in a flash. For an added bonus, sniff the fresh citrus scent to revive you from the winter.

Everyone has heard of the cult favorite Urban Decay Primer Potion, a neutral eye primer that stops creasing in its tracks. Now, welcome UDPP Eden ($18 US)! This matte yellow, nude shade is great for concealing the eyelid while prepping.  Multi-taskers everywhere, rejoice!

Isn’t the pop-out scrublet of the L’Oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Facial Cleanser ($6.99 US) adorable? With the promise of a deeper clean, this scrublet may be a drugstore dupe for the Clarisonic. It’s the scrublet that gets me excited, but I hear that the actual cleanser is excellent as well.

If you are hopelessly romantic, you will watch the new Dear John movie and try the Bath and Body Works P.S. I Love You Spring Fling Fragrance Mist ($12 US). Soft petals, sparkling water, fresh air, and fruity notes will capture your heart as much as Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum will on screen.

When you go out with your girlfriends to see Dear John, try this edgy, yet pretty, look. Just pat a silver eyeshadow onto the lid and sweep a medium purple color into the crease and outer V; check out the Stila Eyeshadow Trio in Afterhours ($20 US) for this.

Next, line your eyes with a purple eyeliner like The Body Shop Metallic Eye Definer in 14 Glowing Amethyst ($11 US) and smudge the purple shade from the Stila Trio onto your lower lash line. Finish with your favorite mascara.

Calling all makeup minimalists out there.. Stila One Step Makeup might be just the thing for you!

Stila just introduced their One Step Makeup ($44 US) giving busy women everywhere an easy, breezy face routine to achieve a flawless complexion with just one product.

One Step Makeup promises to prime and protect your skin, conceal blemishes, even out your skin tone and minimize shine.. all in one bottle – can it really be true?  I had to try it for myself.

With eight shades to choose from, this might not work for everyone out there.  But for me, Light was a pretty close match for me.

The consistency of One Step Makeup is  thicker than your standard liquid foundations.  That’s probably where the conceal part comes in.  You often need something a little heavier to mask those unsightly blemishes.

When I use regular liquid foundations, one to two pumps is just enough.  I thought I’d have to use more with Stila since the formula was so thick.  But lo and behold, one pump was plenty to smooth all over my face.

Don’t be alarmed by the thick and heavy swatch above, as I was when I tried this for the first time.  Your face certainly won’t look cakey and done up; I was able to smooth out the formula to an even coverage.

While Stila One Step Makeup’s all-in-one idea made prepping my complexion for color makeup a cinch, my only gripe is that it starts to feel slightly heavy throughout the day and I was afraid to touch my face for fear of smudging it off.

Everything else seemed to be just right – it lasts for a good part of the day and provides medium coverage if you’re looking for something a little more heavy-duty.  For me, this will definitely be a special occasion product as I prefer something lighter for day-to-day.
