Lip Lust: Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss review

Opening a fresh tube of gloss or swiping on a brand new lipstick is one of the best feelings. Maybe not quite as extreme as applying a new identity, but uplifting nonetheless.

Imagine my delight at this stunning array of glosses to play with this Summer. Tarte’s newest formula, the Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss ($19 US) are fun and oh-so-shiny for the prettiest look.

Dressing up a Classic: the Tarte Cheek Stain

Tarte cheek stains review

I just bought a dress for an upcoming event in two colors: red and black. I still can’t decide which one I like better, though I should soon so I can return the one I’m not keeping. My dilemma? The red is gorgeously sultrier, but the black is wonderfully versatile.

Same dress, different colors. It’s really all about the packaging, because my body and the dress are identical in both colors. Along the same lines, Tarte Cosmetics, one of my favorite brands recently gave their best-selling, award-winning cheek stains an adorable face lift.

Lip Lust: Tarte LipSurgence Power Pigment

With the chilly weather here in Massachusetts and my new internship at t+j Designs, I’ve never been wearing more things around my neck. Be it a chunky scarf or a glamorous crystal necklace, I’ve been gravitating towards stand-out lip colors to complement my accessories.

When I’m wearing a happy-looking, bright lip color, I feel a little bit cheerier, even in below-freezing temperatures. Lately, I’ve been loving the Tarte LipSurgence Power Pigment ($24 US), the latest release from their Spring collection.

Lock Your Lips on the Tarte Pure Delights LipSurgence Lip Set

I had a friend over when I received the Tarte Pure Delights 8-Piece Lipsurgence Lip Set ($34 US), and she couldn?t stop oohing and ahhing over the cuteness factor of the mini lipstains. There?s just something inexplicably adorable about miniature things.

She was also excited about the actual products too as a fellow beauty lover, exclaiming the gorgeous variety of colors. We both established that rosy lip colors look great on her a long time ago, but they?re also a simple way to look festive for holiday photos.

Smoldering Eyes with the Tarte Stop & Stare Set

We all have a beauty-related fear. For some it?s waxing or glitter. With a lot of my friends, I?ve noticed that eyeliner seems to be a common one. Of course I can understand why. Unskillfully applied it can be reminiscent of goth or punk makeup, which is the exact opposite direction most people like to take their makeup.

However, when I explain to my friends that eyeliner doesn?t always have to be black and that it can be used in a variety of ways, then apply it on them, they?re always pleasantly surprised. I?ve converted a lot of eyeliner-phobic friends this way.
