Hot Sephora Blowout: Up to 75% Off

I just got back from the movies (Frost/Nixon is such an interesting story in American history!) and the first things I like to do are check my email and surf beauty websites.

Well, I came across a huge sale plastered all over Sephora.com’s homepage where they have quite a bit of goodies on sale, including a couple of items I reviewed right here on The Daily Cookie, like:

stila-on-gift-of-glaze-set.jpg

Stila Shine On Gift of Glaze, originally $28, now $22 US: a set of 6 mini Lip Glazes in an array of colors

too-faced-world-domination-set2.jpg

Too Faced World Domination Tour Beauty Collection, originally $42, now $34 US:  a kit filled with all you need to look like a silver-screen siren

In case you weren’t able to pick these up because you were buying for others, now might be a great chance to be good to yourself and get these holiday goodies I’m personally diggin’ at a discount:

duwop-lip-venom-holiday-trio.jpg

DuWop Venom Rocks, originally $21, now $16 US: a set of three mini Lip Venom lip glosses in Garnet, Pink Quartz and Amethyst

caudalie-spa-radiance-set.jpg

Caudalie Spa Radiance Set, originally $56, now $35 US: a set of six of Caudalie’s most sought-after spa favorites - Beauty Elixir, Fleur de Vigne French-Milled Soap, Nourishing Body Lotion, Vine Peach Shower Gel, Hand and Nail Cream, and Sauvignon Scrub.

So if Santa was good to you with a couple of Sephora gift cards in your stocking this year, head on over right now and start stopping (and saving!).

Oodles of Curls: Too Faced Lash Injection Pinpoint Mascara

too-faced-lash-injection-pinpoint-mascara.jpg

I’ve been a little obsessed and have tested quite a few mascaras over the past few months.

From the ones you read about here on The Daily Cookie like Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes and Lancôme High Définicils to the ones I’ve tried but haven’t posted on such as Estee Lauder Turbo Lash and Dior ‘Diorshow’ Iconic, I now think that I may have found my go-to mascara for a very, very long time to come - Too Faced Lash Injection Pinpoint Mascara ($19.50 US).

The three things that I look for in a good mascara is length, curl, and soft touchable lashes - crunch is totally out!  Too Faced Lash Injection Pinpoint is the latest addition to this indie brand’s mascara line up and delivers everything I want my lashes to be.

Sephora Friends & Family Wishlist!

sephora-ff-2008.jpg

By now I’m sure you’ve heard that Sephora’s 20% off Friends & Family Event has begun and are pondering what how to spend your hard earned cash.

Since I’m unemployed at the moment and don’t technically have “hard earned cash”, I’m going to plan what I’m buying with my $50 Sephora gift card that I got last year but keep forgetting to use, LOL  :D

Here’s what’s on my list:

korres-duo-to-go-set.jpg

- Korres Butter Duo To Go ($15 US): I recently started using Korres Body Butter in Quince, a rich cream I use for my hands that smells awesome like peaches!  In the drier southern California weather, keeping a travel-sized lotion in my car so that I can apply anytime I need it is essential.  This Duo To Go set has a 1.7 oz tube and Lip Butter which is perfect for on-the-go so I can keep my full-sized tube at home.

too-faced-shadow-insurance.jpg

- Too Faced Shadow Insurance ($17 US):  I’ve heard lots and lots of raves about UDPP, but I have yet to try it ever since it became known that the packaging was faulty and you couldn’t get all of the product out of it.  Instead, I’ve been using Shadow Insurance in a no-nonsense squeeze tube.  It works wonderfully to keep the creases away and I’ll never have to worry about not getting every last ounce out of it ;)

lancome-oscillation-mascara.jpg

- Lancôme Ôscillation Mascara ($34 US):  Okay, I know I have enough mascaras, but with 20% off, this is the perfect occasion for me to get a tube!  I’m sure I don’t have to tell you what this new innovation is, but if you don’t recall, check out my past post and see why I must get my hands on one.

With the Sephora Friends & Family discount from now until November 10th, just enter discount code FF2008, my order goes from $66 to $52.80 US.  They also offer free shipping with purchases over $50 which saves me even more, holla!

What will you be picking up with this once-a-year offer?  There’s always room to add to my wishlist for my family and friends!!  :D

Spotlight: Too Faced Betsy Baby Duo

too-faced-eye-shadow-duo_bca.jpg

One thing that I’m drawn to when it comes to beauty products are the names, whether it be the brand or the name of the color.  In the case of today’s Pink Spotlight, we get the best of both with Too Faced Eyeshadow Duo in Betsy Baby ($17 US).

Check the amazing story behind how Betsy Baby came to be - I would summarize it for you but I think the description on the Sephora site says it all beautifully.

Too Faced’s brand founder, Jerrod Blandino, created Betsy Baby for one of his closest friends, Sephora’s Betsy Olum. In 2007, the Sr. Vice President of Marketing was diagnosed with breast cancer. During Betsy’s trying time, Jerrod was one of her top supporters. And, during one of their many heart-to-heart chats, Betsy jokingly asked if Jerrod would bring back her favorite discontinued Too Faced shadow, Heiress. Jerrod happily obliged, and worked with Betsy to develop the perfect highlighting-accent color. Now a fierce duo (just like Jerrod and Betsy), it’s been renamed Betsy Baby in honor of her battle and triumph over breast cancer.

Now with every sale of limited edition Betsy Baby, Jerrod will donate $3 per sale as will Betsy Olum, herself.  And to add to the cause, Sephora will also donate $3 making that a grand total of $9 going to the Breast Cancer Research Fund for every purchase of this Too Faced duo.

So go ahead, I know you want to, go out and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by picking up a little something that’ll make you look and feel gorgeous too.

Don’t forget that for every Comment you make on this post, or any other BCA-related stories I feature during the month of October, I will personally donate $1 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure*.
